Art House
Bizarre conglomeration of curious objects equals... home?
Category Eccentric Homes
A friendly old art teacher, who calls himself "RichArt," has been constantly adding bleached wood, bike reflectors, old yo-yos, Styrofoam, and other beautiful bits of refuse to his house for many years.
RichArt joyfully guides curious people on tours of his yard, and will hand you a tassel to hide somewhere on his property as you explore. But there's a catch: if he catches you hiding it, he takes it back. A true eccentric, and a fun walk.

I first visited Art House in 1996, when I stopped in Centrailia while on vacation. I have since moved to Washington and stopped in today on my way home from Portland. RichArt showed me around and told me the stories of several pieces on display. I hung the tassle without getting caught.
