In two places along New Hampshire's coast, if the tide is right, you can see the remains of a forest drowned when the glaciers retreated. One of the stump fields - just to the north of Jenness Beach - can only be seen when tides are extremely low (or by divers). The Drowned Forest off Odiorne Point is easier to see; it's in slightly shallower water.

    I've grown up in NH, spending most of my summers at Jenness and I never knew this existed! Pretty cool, I'll have to pay more attention this year.

    Is it in Rye, NH (appears so) or Rye, United Kingdom? The breadcrumb trail above the entry seems to think the latter.
