This strangely-patterned body of water is located between the Okanagan and Similkameen Valleys in British Columbia's desert.

It contains large amounts of magnesium sulfate, calcium and sodium sulfates and twelve other minerals including traces of silver and titanium.

Considered a sacred medicine spot by First Nations in both Canada and the U.S.,the lake is surrounded by cairns - rock piles often indicating graves - built by the Nations throughout their history.
