The chapel is on the grounds of Fort Andrews, an abandoned military post first commissioned in 1901 and which served as part of the coastal defenses for Boston.  During World War II hundreds of churches were built in this military template, but this is the only one thought to be left standing.

Know Before You Go

Take the ferry from Hingham or Hull. In the summer months a connecting ferry runs from Georges Island.
