A so-called scared man was uncovered in upstate New York in 1869. Because of its 10-foot-4-inch prominence, the model became known as the Cardiff Giant. The Cardiff Giant became something the media talked about. The public's enchantment went on ever after it was revealed the model was a joke. The event is scheduled to be re-staged Sunday by a new York artist who has redone the model.
