I have been here a few times - hired someone to take me via motorbike out to the edges. It is very, very sad to see this and know it was caused by human greed! It is eating up homes and businesses. The Indonesian government "supposedly" gives a family that lost their home or business US$200 as reimbursement - go get back on their feet.
