Inside Look at The Bunny Museum
It truly is the hoppiest place in the world! And now, you get to go in after-hours. Hop into The Bunny Museum at nighttime for a magical immersive experience. You’ll enjoy one-on-one attention from the co-founders, surrounded by our collection, without all the crowds.
Inside the museum, we’ll tell you fascinating stories about special pieces of the collection. Remember the fable of "The Tortoise and the Hare"? You’ll rediscover that tale, and more, as you forget your worries and experience the peaceful wonder in our special place.
Founded in 1993, The Bunny Museum opened to the public in 1998. Originally housed in a 1920s home in Pasadena, the museum moved to Altadena in 2017. Altadena is burrowed in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument and has 13 National Register of Historic Places including Christmas Tree Lane, the Zane Grey Estate, and the Crank House. It is a diverse community of artists, celebrities, nature lovers, and eccentrics.
Hi. I'm Candace, a member of the Atlas Obscura community.
Steve Lubanski and I co-founded The Bunny Museum in 1993 with one plush bunny. Now with over 36,000 bunny items—we’re Guinness World Record certified. Our museum has been making visitors hoppy for 21 years.
