In this hour-long experience, we’ll get a live glassblowing demo from The Corning Museum of Glass!
Join The Corning Museum of Glass Live from the Hot Shop! In this hour-long experience, we’ll explore The Corning Museum of Glass’s new exhibition, Fire and Vine: The Story of Glass and Wine. We’ll be joined by CMoG’s Troy Smythe and Curator of Ancient Glass, Katherine Larson to break down the fiery creation of humanity’s most versatile material and then reveal the mysteries of how it was made with a live demonstration in the Corning Museum of Glass’s Hot Glass Studio. You’ll see master glassmaker, Chris Rochelle, take glowing gobs of molten glass and turn them into complex goblets while we explore more than 3,500 years of history, science, and...wine!
