Bees are more than the sweetness of their honey or the shock of their sting. It’s hard to overstate the importance of bees as the pollinators of the world’s ecosystem. And they’re disappearing.
Join us for this buzzworthy event, and learn about the diversity of the world’s pollinators, why they are important, and how we can help lessen their decline. Presented in partnership with the Hive Supply, Chicago’s beekeeping supply store, we’ll also learn about beekeeping, honey bees, and hive inspections. This experience will allow guests to take a look into the world of urban beekeeping and pollinator conservation. All your questions will be answered by an experienced beekeeper and entomologist.
Brittany Buckles is an entomologist specializing in pollinators. She teaches curious people about the incredible world of beekeeping, wild native bees, the endangered rusty-patched bumble bee, monarch butterflies, and more.
Once registered, you'll receive a password-protected link to participate in the Zoom experience in your confirmation email.
