Your host, Shanise, was born and raised in Southwest Detroit, where as an only child her imagination blossomed in a room that her parents allowed her to freely create and decorate. She loved to create cool outfits for her dolls and plasters magazine clippings and posters all over her walls. Since then, she has created her own small business called "Dollface Couture💋™" and focuses on inspiring individuals through wearable art, image and personal style consulting, and interior decor. She has been a par of several pop up events, art shows, decorated small business, and styled a host of family and friends. She and her incredible home have also been featured in various news articles, as well as part of the Weird Homes Tour Detroit.
Our partners at Weird Homes Tour offer a series of virtual and physical tours that allow you to visit the inside of homes, and meet collectors of oddities, rare art collectors, performance artists, painters, sculptors and architects in cities all across the USA. As you browse their 100+ homes you will see that they reject cookie cutter design and architecture and embrace the wonderfulness of weird. Check out their instagram for more amazing photos and stories.
