For our summer adventures in and around Kansas City, we’ve identified destinations lost and found, crumbling and restored, surprising and delightful.
We were quite literal in finding a companion to Dogfish Head Brewery’s Flesh & Blood IPA. All signs pointed directly to a golden relic that (supposedly) holds the decomposing finger of John the Baptist. But a chunk of disciple may not even be the most surprising thing to end up in the American heartland and on this list. Although we’re far from the sea, we were able to match SeaQuench Ale with the Steamboat Arabia—which was discovered in a Kansas cornfield, full of sunken treasure. And for 60 Minute IPA, we’re traveling back in time to the 1950s All-Electric House, a home of the future from the past.
