About
Both a name and, in English, an appropriate adjective, Arresting is the name of a small village 3 km from the Danube river in upper Bavaria.
Inside the churchyard of the 13th century village church of St Wolfgang, you'll find a small structure built in the 16th century to house the bones of villagers. The Arresting Ossuary includes a wall of skulls, arm and leg bones, along with painted icons of the virgin and crucified Jesus.
