About

Batería del Ángel San Rafael is just one of many fortifications that constituted the defenses surrounding Cartagena, Colombia. This citadel has a unique location requiring a ferry ride, then a walk through the small town, and finally a climb up a mosaic pathway. There are also several tunnels to explore, bats to avoid, and views to enjoy.
