Precious Metal is an eclectic mix of urban decay meets ironic hipster decor. The bar is owned by the same people who run Pine Box Rock Shop.  Jeff & Heather Rush and Colin Peer clearly have the knack for finding spaces with morbid histories- Pine Box is housed in what was formerly a casket factory. Where Pine Box excels in draft beer selection, Precious Metal makes up for in craft cocktails. The entire menu was created by their bar staff- one of whom was selected in the top 50 bartenders in NYC in 2015 (TimeOutNY). 

Some people are a bit slow to the party, and take the Precious Metal name a little too literally- in July 2016 a group of 4 guys from Connecticut attempted a jewelry heist. Needless to say they were unsuccessful. 

Precious Metal also recently started offering a weekend brunch menu in partnership with Brooklyn Whiskers.
