About

In Wiernsheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany resides a decommissioned bomb that was used by the priest of the church as a bell.

From around 1949 to 1962, the casings from five air mines that failed to detonate during World War II were used as church bells. Only one was saved after the bombs were replaced with traditional bells. It has since been transformed into a memorial.
