About

The Bourton-on-the-Water Model Village is a one-ninth scale replica of one of England's bucolic Cotswold villages which somehow manages to make a quaint English town even more adorable.

Located behind the Old New Inn, the mini-village was created by a landlord of the establishment and took local volunteers five years to build. The little town contains all the buildings of the village from the Old Water Mill to the Old New Inn just as they appeared in the 1930s. The little land also features a number of expertly trimmed bonsai trees which are constantly pruned as part of the site's regular maintenance. The model's devotion to accuracy even extends to a miniature model village in the back of the miniature Old New Inn.
