About
For decades, the Bronx Christmas House of the Garabedian Family has become a local legend. Pay a visit to the Yuletide landmark any time from Thanksgiving to Epiphany (January 6th) and you're in for a treat. Massive nativity scenes, old Blockbuster video promotional figurines, carousel horses, classic Hollywood figures, and dozens of creepy costumed mannequins. You'll find it all here, accompanied by a holiday mixtape on repeat.
In recent years, the family has left neighbors and local journalists in suspense by completing the decor later and later into the holiday season. But rest assured, it has always still materialized!
On rainy evenings, some of the display might be covered with plastic tarps, but that really just adds to the overall effect. The home is private property, so of course don't trespass. They do, however, welcome visitors to look from outside the fence that surrounds the property.
Any donations made while the display is up (usually coins and dollar bills tossed over the fence) are passed along to charities at the end of the season. After the electric bill for the season is paid, of course.
