Since its launch in 2021, the Cablebús has drawn tourists to an area that has long only ever hosted locals.  Now visitors from all over the world come to experience this unique mode of transportation and see the spectacular city from a bird's eye view.

The impressive panoramic aerial cable car ride carries passengers across a remarkable cityscape—a real treat for the senses and a well-deserved break on your pocketbook.  

The Cablebús spans over five miles and has six stations with gondolas that can carry up to 10 passengers. The gondolas gently glide at a height of 100 feet. Multi-chromatic casitas (small houses or buildings) and the surrounding mountains create a stunning backdrop. The ride takes just over 30 minutes from one end of the line to the other.  

The gondolas are painted in vibrant colors. The stations themselves are beautifully designed and decorated, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the areas they serve. 

Cablebús has had a significant impact on the local communities it serves, providing an accessible transportation option for residents.  It connects them to their jobs, schools, and medical facilities.  Before the cable car system was built, residents had to rely on buses and cars to navigate the steep terrain between Indios Verdes and Cuautepec. This often resulted in lengthy commute times, unreliable transportation, and tons of traffic. The cable car system has provided a much-needed alternative that is fast, efficient, and accessible. It has also helped to reduce air pollution and traffic congestion in the area, making the city a more sustainable and livable place.
