About

Just down the road from beautiful Cataract Falls, and serving rural Indiana since 1860, the Cataract General Store fuses vintage Americana with modern-day knick-knacks.

The store is packed wall-to-wall with traditional general store items like local jams, cast iron skillets, and wicker baskets. There is also a collection of more modern treasures such as funky rubber ducks and toy walkie talkies. It’s also a great place to find items that showcase true Hoosier pride. Outside the store, visitors will find a small library that encourages guests to grab a book.

The store also plays host to a wide range of vintage snacks and sodas for hungry travelers.

No matter the reason for stopping by, the Cataract General Store will bring all that visit a sense of nostalgia for a time long gone, when small towns thrived and the general store was king.
