About

A campaign to revamp the public toilets beside Maryborough's town hall green had its beginnings in 2020. Local businesses and community members donated to the Divine Dunnies project to make the toilets on the side of the picturesque City Hall the finest in Australia. (Though they face some stiff competition against public restrooms inspired by Aboriginal fishing baskets.)

Incorporating a Victoriana theme, touches of Maryborough's colorful history, flowers, music, and chandeliers have made these toilets an attraction for locals and tourists alike. The name is a cheeky homage to Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel in Rome.
