About

Over 4.5 million people visited this huge, now-abandoned site between April and October 2016. Expo 2016 was an International horticultural expo held in Antalya, featuring exhibits' from more than 27 countries.

Approximately 25,000 green plants of 120 different species were planted on the site, including a 945-year-old olive tree. Spread over a site of 112 hectares were also cultural and artistic activities for guests.

A 100-meter tower stands at the main entrance, still accessible. It has 17 stories with an observation tower at the top. The site has had no further use since October 2016, with the once dedicated light rail line removed.

Know Before You Go

Located on the D400 motorway approximately 10 kilometers from Antalya International Airport. It is still signposted (albeit slightly faded) and shows on Google Maps.

There are unmanned car booths/barriers at the entrance from the motorway (northeast corner). They were open/lowered in daylight hours, not sure if the barrier closes in the evening.
