Help improve Atlas Obscura by expanding Faith Alive Cowboy Church Radio Station with additional information or photos.
The tiny adobe building behind the Faith Alive Cowboy Church in Marfa is not what it seems. What looks like a century-old chapel was in fact built in 1986 to house a local radio station. Regardless, it certainly has character. The pintsize building is nestled behind the larger, more modern church. A radio antenna protrudes from the top, confirming that this little building indeed was—and still may be—a functioning radio station.
Know Before You Go
The church is on private property and not accessible to the public, though you can see it from the street.
