About
The Florida Bass Conservation Center was established in 2005 at the site of the old 1965 Richloam Hatchery and is the major freshwater fish production hatchery in the state of Florida, restocking the entire state.
A self-guided educational information center upstairs shares information on various subspecies of bass and freshwater species and includes alligator meat recipes, taxidermy, and two aquariums filled with local flora and fauna. Surrounding the site are hiking trails and stocked fishing ponds. Tours of the hatchery are free.
