About
The final resting place of Ernest Gary Gygax, co-creator of Dungeons and Dragons, is located in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Born in Chicago Illinois, Gygax spent most of his life in Lake Geneva. It was here that he was introduced to the hobby of wargaming, which eventually inspired him to create Dungeons and Dragons. (There is a memorial dedicated to Gygax in the middle of town that features the game's signature 20-sided die.)
The burial site is on the right side of the cemetery as you enter through the main (and only) entrance. Located in Section D. There are many old and unique headstones throughout the cemetery.
