About
Parked in the middle of a leafy Brussels park is an airy laser-cut steel sculpture that merges the modern and the medieval. Cement Truck is one in a series of works from Belgian artist Wim Delvoye that juxtapose heavy modern construction equipment with delicate gothic architectural forms. Around 30 feet (9 meters) end-to-end, the "truck" looks almost ready to drive away—if it weren't for the breeze blowing through it.
Delvoye is perhaps better known for his boundary-pushing works on excrement and the human digestive system. Here at this piece though, you’re likely only to find pigeon droppings or a left-behind dog doo.

The sculpture is located in the park along Quay au Foin, immediately behind the Royal Flemish Theater, and a short walk from the Yser metro station.
