About

Grabill Country Sales is filled with large bags of oatmeal and other food staples. Being Indiana, it also has locally grown popcorn in a range of colors (red, white, blue, purple, and yellow) and types (fine, mushroom, medium, etc.). The store also comes with a café, deli, and bakery featuring homemade donuts and pies, and a large selection of candy in bulk.  What one might not expect to find is the menagerie of wildlife taxidermy that is present in the store.

The animals were presented by Dr. William Brickner of Antwerp, Ohio. Dr. Brickner hunted and collected these animals and had them in his home before he retired and moved to South America. He sought for a home for his collection, finally deciding on Grabill Country Sales for the honor.

When you first walk into the store you can’t help but notice all the big game animals from bears to elephants, big cats to warthogs. Some are placed high up and out of reach. A few of them you encounter when you turn a corner and find one standing at the end of an aisle.
