The Inventor of Time Travel Plaque

The older and more important a city is, the more likely it is to have famous residents or sites of historic events. It’s common to see plaques and monuments identifying the places connected to those people or events, from famous artists to failed assassination attempts. But very few memorials commemorate events that haven’t happened yet. 

The John E. Lewis Memorial plaque in Leuven is one of those rare places. Located above the door of a small house near Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, this small blue plaque claims that Lewis invented time travel and that he lived—or will live—in this very house in 2152. Whether there is any truth to this claim, we’ll just have to wait and see.
