About

The Martin Missile (CGM-13) was a surface to surface cruise missile first launched in 1956 and retired during the 1970s. It was used primarily by the United States Air Force to destroy ground targets during combat.

The missile was originally developed by the Glen L. Martin Company and became stationed at USAF bases in countries like West Germany, South Korea, and Japan during the late 1950s, and throughout the 1960s.

This decommissioned missile now sits outside the American Legion as a memory to those who served. This is one of 10 retired Mace Missiles that can be found across the United States.

Know Before You Go

There is a Dandy gas station across the street if you need to refuel or get snacks/beverages. The cell phone reception in the area can be spotty at times.
