Brigham Young University (BYU) owns one of Jerusalem’s most elegant buildings, the Jerusalem Center. The Center caters to students hailing from BYU’s campus in the United States who wish to study abroad in Jerusalem. It also contains an equally elegant and peaceful garden. The Orson Hyde Memorial Gardens cover more than five acres and resides atop the historical Mount of Olives.

The garden, which opened in 1979, contains a host of flowers and herbs including rosemary, wild lemon, thyme, oregano, lavender, dwarf ivy, water lilies, as well as olive trees. It has become a magnet for photographers seeking to capture a moment of beauty and harmony in the heart of the Holy Land.
