Offering a journey through several centuries, this quaint little Breton harbor has witnessed important episodes of the 100-Year War, the religious and civil unrest following the French Revolution in 1789, and the arrival of Benjamin Franklin in 1776.

The town boasts charming medieval architecture, imposing castle walls, and a selection of nice trails along its river and estuaries. 

Know Before You Go

Auray has a train station where the TGV stops. It is also accessible by bus and car.
