This site was previously a historic hard-rock gold mine, and the museum covers a wealth of mining history.
It’s open year-round and is also the community’s Visitor Information Centre, archives, public park, and discovery center. In the summer, visitors can explore the property, including other exhibition buildings with old fire trucks, a CPR caboose, train station, and even learn how to gold pan.
Rossland is home to many famous names and early inventions, including the walkie-talkie, and the first ski chair lift in western Canada.
