About
A rare example of the curious medieval tradition of decorating sacred spaces with lustful grotesques, the monastery of San Pedro de Cervatos in Cantabria, Spain is one of the best existing examples of the art. Tiny exhibitionist figures in obscene poses decorate the exterior. Other similarly lustful figures can be found decorating churches of similar vintage in Britain, Ireland, France and elsewhere in Spain.
