About

Located just west of Charlottetown, Seven’s Pinballorama offers the most playable pinball machines under one roof in Canada. Opened in the spring of 2022, the arcade features around 40 machines and counting, ranging from the 1950s to the present day. Players can try their hand at electro-mechanical machines from the 60s and 70s, solid-state games from the late 70s (hello, digital display readouts, ramps, and flashing lights on the playfield), and increasingly complex dot-matrix display machines of the 1990s.

While most of the machines are playable, some of the older machines—particularly the wood rail machines from the early 1950s—require more involved upkeep. This limits these machines’ ability to withstand the gradual abuse of player after player. The presence of these unplayable machines lends a museum quality to what’s first and foremost an arcade.

Another museum element is the ongoing pinball machine restoration, undertaken by the owner, Seven, himself. With each machine he acquires, there’s a good chance Seven will also need to scour the world for obscure replacement parts and painstakingly repaint the cabinets and playfields. As there are over 20 additional machines offsite and at different stages of restoration, every repeat visit to Seven’s Pinballorama comes with a strong chance you’ll be hitting the flipper buttons on something new (or, more aptly, something old but nursed back to robust pinball “health”).
