This small, colorful constellation of bottles and bedsprings accompanies a painted Ziggy Stardust-esque figure along a low chainlink fence on a quiet residential street just around the corner from the main drag of Truth or Consequences. Blink, and you might miss it, but it’s worth the stop.
While the address is on N Broadway, the art fence is on the backside at Sims, across the street from the Healing Waters Plaza. Starting from 417 N Broadway, head west to Daniels St, turn right, then turn Right on Sims. The bottle wall/fence will be on your right past the first two buildings. She may be small, but her collection of glass and rust and color is mighty.
Know Before You Go
Downtown TorC as the locals call it, is not a very large grid to explore. You can walk all the short streets in about a half hour and see among them a variety of colors and local art, hit up a secondhand store or two, and even grab a malt or a pastry at one of the local eateries. If you time it right and are there on their Friday night art walk you'll be in for an even bigger treat.
