About

Visiting the Sod House on the Prairie is a chance to experience life on the prairie.  The views of the prairie give one a chance to feel the love of the the many who settled on the rural Minnesota prairie. A great way to experience the walk in the world of Laura Ingalls.

Go into the house and feel the feel the life of living in a one room house made from the materials of the prairie. A chance to develop deep respect for our early settlers and see how they lived. Don't expect a museum piece but expect a house that has aged over the years and seeks to share its full character with visitors.

The house is closed in the winter so you cannot experience the beautiful snowy Minnesota winters.
