About

The only wacky car museum in the world features vehicles in the shape of toilets, cricket bats, hamburgers, and the Hindu god Ganesha, just to name a few.

The Sudha Cars Museum was invented by one Sudhakar Yadav, for whom crazy cars are a lifelong obsession. He began re-engineering junk bikes and buggies as a teenager and never stopped. In 2010 he opened his museum in Hyderabad to showcase his designs, and it quickly became one of the most popular destinations for tourists seeking a more unusual side of the city.

The colorful building exhibits the cars with a plaque explaining how long it took to build and what its maximum speed is. Some of the cars are world record holders as well—the world's smallest double decker bus is here, with a max capacity of just 10 riders, and so is the world's largest tricycle (at 41 feet tall). A number of vintage Indian classic cars are on display here as well for the automobile enthusiast looking for something beyond sheer novelty.

Though none of his creations are for sale, Sudhakar regularly wheels them out for public celebrations and parades. He also likes to build bikes and cars to commemorate specific occasions: for Children's Day (Bal Diwas) he built a pen, pencil, and pencil sharpener fleet, for Women's Day he made stiletto and handbag cars, and for World AIDS Day he crafted a condom-mobile.
