About

Just outside the tiny village of Kefalas on the island of Crete is the House of Stone Creations. The property's grounds feature an array of handmade stone and terracotta structures.

Built by local artist Vangelis Vlepakis, the intricate sculpture garden welcomes visitors for a small donation. Vangelis also built the nearby Monumento Kefalas along the road to Vamos, which features small religious niches with Christian scenes.

Vangelis started making these stoneworks after visiting Barcelona and admiring the work of the Spanish architect Gaudi.

Vangelis can often be seen milling about the House of Stone Creations, and may even greet visitors.
