James Dean was raised by his aunt and uncle in the town of Fairmount, Indiana. The family has donated, James Dean’s motorcycles, acting awards, movie props and costumes, scripts, racing trophies, drawings, paintings, and sculptures by Dean, rare photographs, rare letters, high school papers and projects, wardrobe, and even baby clothes all owned by James Dean. The items on display here are saved from his entire life of only 24 years and it is as if his family knew he was destined to become an American icon.
