About
Nestled in a quaint valley and boasting a 109 foot CinemaScope screen, The Mahoning Drive-in has been a roadside cinematic mecca since 1948.
In 2014, Mahoning began to exclusively screen 35mm prints (with the exception of VHS) of rare and classic films on the theater's original projectors. With a wheelhouse of specialized programming, including themed weekend-long events, the once aging drive-in was reimagined for a new era, becoming a popular haunt for film fans seeking an authentic drive-in experience.
One of Mahoning's many charms is the gastronomical offerings of their volunteer-run concession stand, which feels like it was plucked right out of an 80's movie. Food and admission prices are also a welcome throwback. Adding to the unique Mahoning experience, diehard patrons are encouraged to camp overnight. It's no surprise that people travel from all over the country to experience this cinephile fantasy, nestled in the middle of rural Pennsylvania.
