The Queen's Letter
This letter written by Queen Elizabeth II in 1986 won't be opened until 2085.
Located at the famous Queen Victoria Building in the center of Sydney, visitors will find in a corner, behind glass, a letter written by Queen Elizabeth II in 1986. The letter was encased along the building’s facade following the reopening of the Queen Victoria following extensive renovations. It’s said that the letter includes a personal message to the people of Sydney.
The only problem is, visitors to the building can’t actually read the letter. It was sealed by the queen and is not designated to be opened until the year 2085. Only the queen was aware of the letter’s contents and it’s to be opened by the city’s future mayor.
Most people who visit the building are unaware of this historic letter.
