About

There is a small unassuming church near Gamla Uppsala that holds (and hides!) treasures that may be missed by the casual visitor.

Keep an eye out for the grave of the scientist Anders Celsius, whose name is given to the popular temperature scale. This is beneath the carpet in the central the aisle, with only a small note to indicate its presence.

Look for a secluded alcove near the entrance to the church, where there is a giant mural of St George battling with the fabled dragon.
