About
The holidays bring everyone together, including the Industrial Revolution and holiday spectacle.
Every year in early December in Lowell, Massachusetts, the Farley White Company, owners of the Wannalancit Mills, lights it's Christmas Tree, which is slung over top of the old mill's smokestack.
The tradition started in 1999 and has been a mainstay since then, save for one dark year in 2010 during the economic downturn that hit the U.S. While it is currently the only smokestack lit up, it is hoped other historic building owners will soon follow suit.
