About
Tucked away on a side street in the 8th district of Vienna, near the city center, lies Austria’s largest board game library. The museum is home to a collection of over 8,000 games.
Household names like Monopoly and Uno lie here next to obscure childhood favorites and everything that modern board games have to offer. On the bright yellow shelves of the Spielebox-library, visitors will find anything from the quick and easy card and reaction games, to hour-long strategy games.
Funded almost entirely by the city of Vienna, this is a unique place full of board games, card games, and everything in between.

A large part of the collection is free to play during the Spielebox opening hours and includes English games, as well as a large number of language-independent games. If you are staying in Vienna for more than just a couple days, you can also take games home with you for a couple of cents per day.
