Jasmine Adams
After many years of practicing and teaching law, Jasmine ventured into the creative industry as the director of Design Unit, with her late husband, Brian Adams.
She has a Master’s Degree in Southeast Asian Studies from the National University of Singapore .
Her passion in collecting, documenting, writing and giving talks on all things related to food, including her collection of vintage kitchenware has led to documentaries, videos and newspaper articles by MediaCorp , Lianhe Zaobao, National Heritage Board, Tiny Museums and other media and cultural organizations.
Born and bred a Peranakan, she has given demonstrations and talks at Baba House and National Library on food and culture.
Jasmine is a volunteer community interviewer with Oral Archives of Singapore and writes as well as collaborates with others to encapsulate their recollections, recipes and other treasures and is also a producer of Legacy videos.
She is a content creator and video host of the Cook and Tell series as well as the specialist food writer of culinary and other articles for Silver Streak Media, an arm of Distilleri , a multi award winning media agency and other forums .
Writing, especially culinary writing is another passion and she contributes and edits stories, articles, recipes online as well as anthologies, cookbooks and magazines and is currently editing the first Chitty Peranakan cookbook for the Chitty Peranakan Association in Singapore.
A Singapore Tourism Board licensed tourist guide, Jasmine enjoys curating and conducting bespoke tours on food, architecture and culture for dignitaries , VIPS , experts and educators.
