Carolyn is a freelance journalist based in Brisbane, Australia. Well before she figured out how to write a decent article, she bought an around-the-world plane ticket and travelled around the US, Europe, South East Asia, and Australia working in every menial job you can think of. This set her up for a lifetime of curiosity and learning from others, the skills to clean a toilet that you could eat your dinner off, and the ability to ask where the nearest police station is in a dozen languages. These days she enjoys a little more luxury in her travel, and prefers someone else to do the cleaning.
