Emily Laber-Warren writes about health, psychology, and the environment for The New York Times, Newsweek, Scientific American, and other publications, and is a contributing editor at Spectrum. She is the director of health and science reporting at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York, and the author of A Walk in the Woods: Into the Field Guide, an introduction to forest ecology for young children.
