Jia H Jung
Jia is magnetized to character-driven stories of the Asia-Pacific and is currently a Reporter of Philippine affairs at Honolulu Civil Beat as a Li Center for Global Journalism fellow. She has freelanced with Eastern Standard Times Media (with the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting), PRI, The Korea Times, SAVEUR, Outdoor Swimmer, SWIMMER Magazine, Swimming World, Appalachia mountaineering journal, AMC Outdoors, PrimeTime Backgammon, and VICE Creators. She has told stories for The Moth and is working on a book about her late father, an unadopted orphan of the Korean War era.
