I'm an author of 17 works including Amelia Earhart Final Days (Amazon eBook or paperback). I found her plane in 3 aerial photos (1938-42) of Nikumaroro (Gardner Is.) in August of 2019. That's the shipwreck SS Norwich City on Nikumaroro photo with Earhart's Electra wreckage circled from my book, "Amelia Earhart: Final Days." That photo and two other aerial photos provide evidence which confirms a reef dance or journey for the Electra of some 600 meters from the "landing wheel" found in the "Bevington photo" of October, 1937. That 4.5 year journey along the reef went to and around the shipwreck, and then headed toward the main lagoon entrance. I believe whatever is left of her aircraft is in that 5 meter-deep lagoon.
