Black Swan Hotel
An unassuming pub with a huge collection of rare Indian motorcycles.
This unassuming pub is a building that one might walk past without a second glance at the treasures that lie within. But as soon as you walk in, you’ll notice a quirkiness as you gaze at the bar, littered with motorcycle paraphernalia. On closer inspection, one will note a few motorbikes propped up on the stage like someone just parked them there before stepping down to order a beverage and then left. Walking around the bottom floor its becomes apparent that there are motorcycles everywhere you look, whether parked up against a wall, displayed formally on a well-lit shelf or turned into furniture.
The Black Swan Hotel in the heart of Bendigo is home to the Indian Motorcycle Museum and Bar. Housing a collection of Indian Motorcycles and related signage, posters, banners and photo’s it’s a delight to walk around the bottom floor admiring the collection. It is more of a surprise when you alight the stairs to the second floor come function space that houses a corner of over 2 dozen Indian motorcycles.
Spend time strolling around the pub, drink in hand reading the history of these motorbikes, admiring the machines themselves and the signage and posters that are a part of this collection in the center of Bendigo.
