About

The bike paths of cycling-friendly Limburg, in Belgium, make it easy to traverse pretty landscapes, get from A to B, and, if you turn off at the right spot, pedal a lazy circle among a canopy of pines.

Dubbed Cycling Through The Trees, the bridge consists of a double circle with a diameter of 328 feet (100 meters) that gradually rises to a height of 32 feet (10 meters). You get to see, feel, and smell the natural beauty of Bosland up close. The bike path is free of charge and accessible to wheelchair users.

Thanks to its location in a wooded park, and the province’s extensive cycling routes, Cycling Through The Trees can easily be paired with a hike or a longer bike ride. If you’re feeling ambitious, bike some 20 miles to Cycling Through Water, another example of the region’s elevation of the bike path to an art form.
